Blanchard Grinder Responsibilities & Duties

• Ability to operate a traditional Blanchard-style Grinder or
• Ability to operate Vertical Spindle with Reciprocating Table & Magnetic Chucks
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches
• Monitor the grinding process
• Perform and document In-Process Inspection & Deburring
• Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production
• Maintain work areas and equipment

Blanchard Grinder Qualifications & Skills

• Apprentice Position: 0-3 years
• Experienced Grinder: 3-5 years
• Semi-Finish Grinding Operations using abrasive segments, setups, de-twisting, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving
• A positive and a proactive mindset
• Ability to read and interpret documents including blueprints and sketches
• Ability to read inspection equipment & tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Etc).
• Experience with operating Cranes and/or Forklifts
• A strong work ethic with availability to work weekends and overtime as needed

Surface Grinder (Horizontal Spindle) Responsibilities & Duties

• Ability to operate Surface Grinders such as Mattison, Thompson, & Danobat
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches
• Monitor the grinding process
• Perform and document In-Process Inspection & Deburring
• Move parts and paperwork to the next stage of production
• Maintain work areas and equipment

Surface Grinder (Horizontal Spindle) Qualifications & Skills

• Prefer 5-15 years of experience in an active Surface Grinding Role
• Finish Grinding Operations using abrasive segments, setups, de-twisting, etc.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Critical thinking and a drive for problem-solving
• A positive and a proactive mindset
• Ability to read and interpret documents including blueprints and sketches
• Ability to read inspection equipment & tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Etc).
• Experience with operating Cranes and/or Forklifts
• A strong work ethic with availability to work weekends and overtime as needed
